This hike was the hike of a lifetime - and having the Hiking Club services made it so easy, convenient and worry free. First I attended a seminar to learn about the different stages. Then I purchased the itinerary planner - game changer. So much great information and helpful links made it easy to plan. Then they created a map that indicated all amenities, food options, transportation options and directions right to each of the places we were staying.

Also, Brendan was so accommodating and patient with those of us who are not quite as tech savvy. When I do another hike, I WILL definitely use the Hiking Club.

The Walkers Haute Route has been a dream for me for around 10 years, but I always thought it was going to be too hard for me. However, thehiking.club webinar - walking through each day and the multiple options available - gave us the confidence to 'just do it'! We used the planner and took advantage of Brendan's excellent advice and experience for our itinerary including the gpx route in Organic Maps which is packed with information. I can't recommend highly enough: this is a small investment in your overall hike which gives you the tools you need from day to day.

I completed the WHR in early September 2023. One of the reasons for my successful trip was utilizing The Hiking Club trip planning portal. I was able to sort through different options to achieve a route that would accommodate the 10 days I had to complete the route. The information supplied (which included points of interest/ alternate transportation options / lodging information / etc.) was so helpful to me. If you feel at all nervous about setting up a journey like this on your own, I recommend The Hiking Club's web site as a resource. To me, the cost of the planning portal was well worth it.

We are hiking TMB this summer and purchased expert access from The Hiking Club to ensure we are on the right track with our planning process. Our group of 4 just held our consultation with Brendan and found it to be extremely beneficial. He was very knowledgeable, personable and thorough in answering our questions. He was also great about sharing his opinions on alternate paths we could take, lodging options as well as details like what to do for lunch. Given we have had no exposure thus far to the area, his expertise and wisdom were very beneficial. We highly recommend!

Fantastic trip on The Tour of Mount Blanc. A wee bit tougher than we thought it would be, but manageable. We met excellent people and have memories that will last a life time. The map and itinerary provided was detailed and accurate. The best part was that you did not need internet access, it was loaded on our phone! Along with the map a detailed dally literary that had WC, Water stops and waypoints telling you how far you had come and how much farther to go. Highly recommended to get this option. We consulted it multiple times a day and were very happy that we signed on to The Hiking Club planning session. It is excellent value for the price.

Started the TMB in Chamonix in the middle of August 2023. I traveled with 2 of daughters to Courmayeur. Each night was better than the last, but our favorite was probably Mottets. The food, the music, the atmosphere all were outstanding. The Hiking Club provided some great information and insight on how to navigate the trails and refuges. Thanks again.

The Hiking Club was beyond essential for our WHR adventure September 2023. This was the trip of a lifetime and Brendan's support was invaluable. The information you have access to through the portal once you sign up is expansive, detail oriented and vital. The assistance with reservations and itinerary planning depending on goals/speed and timeline of group (we were 3 couples) exceeded expectations and then some. Brendan's accessibility for further information and support as we got closer was fabulous. We could not have done this trek without this support and the value cannot be beat. We looked around before deciding on The Hiking Club...we did not want a guided tour, just support in our planning and decision making...this is exactly what we got for a VERY affordable price. A few weeks before our trek, we signed up for a Zoom meeting for last minute details and confidence building and this was also worthwhile. Word of caution to hikers out there...10-13 miles/day of Haute Route hiking is much more challenging than anywhere any of us had ever been...steep up and downs, boulder fields and scree will slow you down. Do not be overly ambitious in your planning. Maybe choose a slower pace than you are used to in the options available so that your itinerary is just right. Brendan is amazing and the service he has created is unbeatable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
